Every dollar she'd worked her whole life for, stolen by someone using the exact same tricks Hugo had perfected.

His dad ran a small business — the kind of place where everybody knew your name. One morning, ransomware locked every file, every record, every invoice. The attackers demanded a ransom he couldn't pay. The business never recovered. Years of work, wiped out overnight.

This was his world — destroying people.
